Employees in our production facilities assist in day-to-day operations by supporting our press operators and ensuring smooth workflow of jobs throughout the day. Positions will be filled based on business needs.

  • 12hr Rotating: 3pm-3am, 3am-3pm. Work 3 days, 1 day off, work 3 days, 7 days off (Employees work 36hrs but are paid for 40hrs)

Ink Technician - Flexible Packaging (1B Shift) - De Pere, WI

Position Overview

  • Mix ink using appropriate formula to match color target.
  • Bring mixed ink to press, ensure press has sufficient ink to run job, return ink to ink room.
  • Use computer and color matching software to utilize all inks in inventory.
  • Assist press operators with color matching on press, work on reducing press downtime.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and record keeping procedures.  
Position Requirements
  • Requires education equivalent to two (2) years of high school.
  • Ability to operate a computer and basic software.
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize the English language fluently.
  • Math skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
  • Some heavy lifting may be required.

Press Operator Assistant - Flexible Packaging (2B Shift) - De Pere, WI

Position Overview 

  • Learn and gain full knowledge of press operation within a maximum time frame of 1 year.
  • Fully commit to Belmark operating procedures and produce a consistently high quality product within acceptable standard waste and time rates.
  • Take accurate notes for reference guide when operating press independently.  Demonstrate learning by performing set up tasks, color and ink procedures within a 3 month time frame.
  • Learn to fully understand schedules and how to complete necessary paperwork.

Position Requirements 

  • Requires education equivalent to two (2) years of high school.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.
  • Math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.

Web Offset Press Operator - Folding Cartons (3rd Shift) - De Pere, WI

Position Overview

  • Responsible for operating the press section of a web offset machine which is in line with a rewinder for roll products and in line with a die cutter for paperboard products.  
  • Work together with other operators and support staff to produce quality product.
  • Set and adjust die cut controls, monitor die cutter and perform changeover tasks.
  • Maintain quality, productivity and waste according to set standards.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Requirements

  • Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school.
  • At least one (1) year experience setting up and operating a multicolor offset press.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to utilize the English language fluently. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple written oral instructions.

Production Support - Flexible Packaging (2A & 2B Shifts)-Shawano, WI

Do you enjoy working hands-on utilizing some of the best technology in the printing and packaging industry?  Does accepting daily challenges and exceeding goals resonate with you?  Belmark is currently seeking Production Supports to cover all the responsibilities associated with performing quality assurance testing, data collection and adminstrative functions.  In addition, this position will cover shipping/receiving processes, and will be responsible for the flow of materials into and out of the plant to include wasrehouse management, receiving materials, and shipping to customers to meet due dates.  With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, our Production Supports are able to work in a friendly environment with a potential to grow with the company.  2A/2B shift hours are from 4:00 P.M. – 4:00 A.M. with a schedule of 3 days on and 4 days off.  Employees on this shift work 36 hours but are paid for 40 hours.  Our employees enjoy the rotating shift due to the days off received, which allows time to accomplish things around the home or spend time with friends and family.   The shift differential for 2A/2B is $1.00 more per hour.

Position Overview

  1. Verify performance through in-process and finished product testing including:
    1. Gas chromatography testing of solvent based printing inks.
    2. Adhesive coating weights.
    3. Repeat length.
    4. Heat resistance.
    5. Interlayer adhesion.
    6. Correct lamination verification.
    7. Seal strength verification.
  2. Accumulate, organize, enter, analyze and file quality assurance data.
  3. Assist Sales, Production, Quality and Technical Services with resolution of quality issues.
  4. File job jackets and sample retain boards.
  5. Enter production data such as job times and process set up information.
  6. Audit and assist with training operators in record keeping and in-process testing.
  7. Prepare and file color standards.
  8. Perform calibration and preventive maintenance on critical test equipment.
  9. Complete certificates of analysis and first article inspection reports.

Shipping/Receiving:

  1. Package and process orders scheduled for shipment by delivery date.
  1. Ensure accuracy of quantities and paperwork of each order being shipped.
  2. Ensure correct labeling of product being shipped.
  3. Enter order shipped into computer.
  4. Stretch wrap all orders on skids.
  5. Ensure accuracy of Bill of Lading and Packing Slips.
  6. Place documents in correct area for data entry.
  7. Put away product to keep aisles clear.

Warehouse:

  1. Return and deliver stock to machines based on picklist/schedule requirements.
  2. Maintain accurate inventory levels in warehouse bins.
  3. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse areas.
  4. Conduct stock audits as determined by management to validate listed quantities.
  5. Ensure material flow through the plant is tracked via warehouse manager.

May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Process Improvement Co-op - De Pere, WI

The goal of the Process Improvement Co-op position is to assist our production facilities and make the operation more efficient. Belmark will be looking to fill this position for the Summer/Fall 2020 semester.

Position Overview 

  • Develop/improve standard practices in the finishing department. 
  • Assist in waste reduction projects in the finishing department.
  • Assist in development and documentation of production procedures.
  • Assist with the resolution of quality issues.
  • Communicate project status and final results with appropriate functions.
  • Longer term special projects to be defined by the Lamination Manager.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Position Requirements

  • Student enrolled full time at an accredited university pursuing a quality related career. Some applicable majors may include Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management, MS – Management Technology, Packaging.

Position Overview

  • Performs daily equipment and building maintenance to ensure proper functioning and operation while adhering to agreed upon standards, processes and systems.
  • Correct occurring mechanical electrical problems.

Position Requirements

  • Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and two (2) years of maintenance experience; or an associate degree in electricity or electro-mechanics.

  • Knowledge of and the ability to speak the English language fluently.
  • Ability to read electrical print/schematics, including symbols, component ID and locating, PLC card I/O, and various types of prints for US, Canadian and European manufacturers.  
  • Ability to use an electrical meter, interpret electrical signals (e.g. AC sine wave, DC square wave), program motor controllers and operate HMI/OIT equipment.
  • Must have excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting thought processes and problem solving skills.

  • Must possess a working knowledge of thermal imaging and ultrasonic testing equipment.

Position Overview

Specialty finishing converting area consists of multiple machines and or processes that add value to our customers finished product. The Pouch Operator is responsible to set up and operate multiple high speed converting assets.  Attention to detail, flexibility, problem solving skills and teamwork are a must.

  • Supports the Marketing team.
  • Maintains marketing databases.
  • Prepare and review correspondences, some of which may be confidential.
  • Send requested marketing materials to sales representatives.
  • Complete all finishing sales sample requests for customers
    • Form printed piece into functional sales sample to meet customer specifications.
    • Complete sales samples on time and according to customer specifications.
  • Learn the role, master the role and improve the role prior to the completion of your internship. 
  • Progress to a point of making contributions to the organization that would be comparable to those of a full time Marketing team member.
  • May perform other duties/special assignments as assigned by supervisor.

  • Direct Human Resources inquiries to appropriate Human Resources staff.

Quality Compliance Internship - De Pere, WI

Belmark is currently seeking a problem solving intern! The Quality Process Intern position supports the mission and principles of Belmark by assisting all areas of the Quality department. This intern would start during the Fall of 2018 semester. They would work 12-14 hours per week assisting the Quality Department. This includes, but is not limited to, support Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA), quality assurance testing, draft/revise standard operating procedures and administrative functions. Secondary functions will include process improvement projects as assigned by Quality team members.   • Learn and understand order entry, label entry, graphics initiation, expediting orders, status checks and change orders.
  • Learn to coordinate the graphics production process including preflight, templates and scheduling.
  • Learn how to provide graphics, printing and packaging expertise to graphics, press operators, sales, account services and customers.
